PEDOPHILIA AND ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT

Who is a Pedophile? A Pedophile is someone who has a condition of being sexually

interested in children, or sexual activity with children. (Cambridge Dictionary).

But in recent times the act has come to become more of an habit/lifestyle than a disorder.

These days, people see pedophilia as a norm and don’t see it as something to worry about

anymore, even younger people are most times attracted to people way older.

Age really shouldn’t matter in relationships but it sometimes could go wrong.

Pedophilia in Male Adults:

Cases of pedophilia in grown men are mostly common these days. Many at times we’ve

heard about cases of grown men having sex with young ladies and men some even go as far

as having sex with babies who end up dying in the process or having severe body damage.

In old times pedophilia was practiced as a culture in Nigeria, the Hausa tribe would marry

off their sons and daughters to grown men so as to uplift their social status or rank in the

society.

These kids end up getting defiled and also have kids at very tender ages who grow up and

are also sold into marriage before they are of age.

In recent times we’ve seen grown men take delight in having younger people as sexual

partners more, they call it wanting to have young blood to feed their sexual cravings and in

some cases we see young men and women having these people as partners because they

get paid to be in the relationship, its commonly called having SUGAR DADDIES.

In my opinion pedophilia isn’t all that wrong if the older man is attracted to someone who

is of age but having sex with someone can barely decide for themselves is really wrong.

These could lead to these younger people getting infected with sexually transmitted

diseases without even knowing it and that way they start passing it to other people. Other young people end up getting pregnant when the older man isn’t ready to take on the

responsibilities of an illegitimate child. In some cases some of these kids are left to fend for

themselves or return to their families while some are either advised or forces to terminate

the pregnancy which could lead to their death or damage of vital human parts.

PEDOPHILIA IN OLDER WOMEN:

Some women sometimes get attracted to younger boys or men which could be bad and

good as the case may be.

Like I earlier stated if the younger person is of age (18+) then it shouldn’t be an issue but

an older woman planning to have sex with a boy of 15 years of age is not advisable.

This young chap could get infected with diseases or could lose focus from what’s really

important like Education and the likes.

PEDOPHILIA IN SAME-SEX RELATIONSHIPS:

Most of us tend to ignore this part because homosexuality is considered a taboo and illegal

in this part of the world but it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

Gay or Straight, we are all human at the end of the day which means pedophilia also exists

in this other sexuality/sexual preference.

Some gay men and women tend to get attracted to other people more in this part of the

world because they are believed to have more experience and know how things work more

but sometimes even these people can be ignorant, they might clearly know they are

carriers of STD’s and other diseases but still indulge in unprotected sex with younger

people putting them at risk.

HOW HAS THE ACT SPREAD SO MUCH AND BECOME SO COMMON?

1. Social Media: We can all agree that these days social media is doing more haram

than good and because of this pedophilia can even occur between a 35 year old and

a 12 year old.

People who are not of age who have access to the internet need to be monitored but

these days you can’t really control people anymore, kids born in this generation are

smart enough their tracks on social media that you could monitor them and still not

know what they do in your absence.

2. Poor Parenting: In this part of the world most people believe beating a child is the

only way to make the child a better person but that’s where the mistake is.

Kids are and would always be kids, they would make mistakes that we can’t stop

from happening and would keep making mistakes for the rest of their lives and they

shouldn’t have to face the judgement of the whip or aggression for it, sometimes the

bets way to a child or teenagers heart is through words, you can’t fully rely on

beating a child and expect the child to be better because if you do the child would

only get worse. What most parents need to do is talk to their kids and help them

amend their mistakes and become better people.

Example: If a girl child gets pregnant in West Africa, her parents are most likely to

throw her out or keep reminding her of that mistake all her life but what they

should really do is try to support the child and help the child go through child birth

and live a better life, its not pampering, it’s having good communication skills and

also making your kids have full trust and comfort in/with you.

Most kids would rather talk to their friends about their issues than their parents

which isn’t totally right.

3. Broken/Failing Marriages: In this case the older person could want to seek comfort

in younger people because their marriage isn’t working out and other issues of that

sort.

Most people need to learn to communicate more so as not to do something that’d

cost them more than they can handle.

Bottomline: Pedophilia isn’t a good idea, if as an older person you are attracted to

someone younger then you should wait until the person is of age before you act on

those feelings or better still find someone who is old enough to be your partner and

live a happy life

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know High Heels were first designed for men? Though closely identified as a female fashion staple today, high heels were first designed for men. RAPE VICTIMS

It is troubling enough that such a small proportion of reported rapes make it to court, worse still that so few victims come forward in the first place. But most disturbing of all is the reason why so many people keep their suffering to themselves: because they do not think they will be believed. That rape is still a dirty secret, hedged about with so much blame and shame that victims feel they cannot come forward, is testament to how far we still have to go. There are, of course, great legal difficulties in rape trials. Sexual assault is one of the few crimes where proof lies not in the physical facts of the matter, but in the subjective intentions of those involved. One person's word against another's, with no corroborating witnesses, is highly problematic for a legal system predicated on the concepts of innocent until proven guilty and proof beyond reasonable doubt. This is no call for the wholesale abandonment of basic tenets of justice. But simply to shrug our collective sh...
